Kathmandu, July 24
The Police Headquarters has recommended the dismissal of then DSP Thug Bahadur KC, who was accused of taking bribes from a gold trader.
The Police Headquarters has recommended the Ministry of Home Affairs dismiss KC as its internal investigations found that he violated the Police Act.
According to Nepal Police Spokesperson DIG Kuber Kadayat, although a letter has been sent from the Police Headquarters stating that he will not be eligible for government service in the future, the ministry has not made its decision.
The Ministry of Home Affairs suspended KC on December 29, 2022, after a team of officials confiscated around 400 grams of gold and Rs 2.5 million in cash from his possession.
