Kathmandu, July 26

The Ministry of Home Affairs on Tuesday sacked DSP Thug Bahadur KC from his post.

Home Secretary Dinesh Bhattarai removed KC from the Nepal Police service as per the recommendation from the Police Headquarters, said DIG Kuber Kadayat, spokesperson of Nepal Police.

Police Spokesman DIG Kuwer Kadayat said that DSP KC has received his dismissal letter from the ministry. KC, however, will be eligible for a government post in the future.

KC was suspended from the post on a charge of accepting a bribe from a gold trader while working in the Area Police Office, Butwal.
