Vivo has launched the Vivo V29e in India. The V290e is the continuation of the V29 series with four models available globally. The Vivo V29 Pro, Vivo V29, Vivo V29 Lite 5G and the Vivo V29e. The V series by Vivo is called the S series in China. The V29e is the latest model which features a beautiful colour-changing glass back.

Design and Display
The Vivo V29e showcases a mesmerising design with a glass back that is both elegant and practical. The Artistic Red variant is particularly intriguing, as its colour changes from red to black when exposed to sunlight or UV light. The textured back adds grip and charm. The dual-camera system sits stylishly in the upper left corner, while the plastic frame is slim and curved, complementing the display’s seamless curve. A small front camera cutout and thin display bezels maximize the viewing area. The phone is slim at 7.57mm and weighs 180.5g.
The Vivo V29e has a large 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution of 1,080 x 2,400 pixels. It produces vibrant colours. It has a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth animations and scrolling. It is also a capacitive multi-touch display. It has a peak brightness of 1300 nits and a screen-to-body ratio of 90.1 per cent. It has a pixel density of almost 388 ppi.
Performance and Storage
The Vivo V29e runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G chip. It has an octa-core CPU with a 2×2.2 GHz Kryo 660 Gold & 6×1.7 GHz Kryo 660 Silver performance cores. The graphics are handled by the Adreno 619 GPU. It uses Android 13 with Funtouch 13 for the operating system.
It is available in one RAM option of 8 GB paired with two storage options of 128 GB and 256 GB.
Camera
The Vivo V29e has a dual camera setup on the back. There is a 64-megapixel main camera with OIS for better stability in photos and videos. The other is an 8-megapixel wide-angle lens. The features of the rear camera include night, portrait, photo, video, micro movie, high resolution, pano, live photo, slo-mo, time-lapse, pro, documents, double exposure, dual view, supermoon, style, filter and light effect. For video, the rear can shoot 1,080p videos at 60 and 30 fps.
On the front, there is a massive 50 MP camera for clear and nice selfies. The features include night, portrait, photo, video, micro movie, live photo, double exposure and high resolution. It can record 1,080p videos at 30 fps.
Battery and Others
The Vivo V29e has a 5,000 mAh battery and can be charged using a 44W wired charger. For connectivity, it has a dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac and Bluetooth 5.1.
For sound, there’s one speaker and there is no regular 3.5mm headphone jack on this phone. The card slot features dual SIM and a dedicated MicroSD card slot. The sensors include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, e-compass, In-display fingerprint sensor and a Gyroscope sensor.
It has two colour options Artistic Red and Artistic Blue.
The expected price of the Vivo V29e in Nepal for the 8/128GB option is Rs 46,000 and for the 8/256GB option is Rs 50,000.
