Kathmandu, October 20
Over 15,000 tourists have visited Mustang over the past three months.
According to government data, 13,098 individuals from SAARC countries have visited Mustang, while 2,230 people from non-SAARC countries have explored this region.
Pramod Raj Regmi, Natural Resource Conservation Assistant at the National Trust for Nature Conservation, stated that the highest number of tourists have come from India.
Muktinath is a famous pilgrimage site, particularly popular among Indians.
The NTNC, however, does not have the data for the number of Nepalis who have visited Mustang. Regmi says the number is low this year compared to 2022.
