Kathmandu, August 16
Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has slashed the price of petroleum products. The meeting of the Board of Directors held on Thursday took a decision to cut down the petrol price to be effective from Friday.
As per decision, price of petrol per litre is slashed by Rs 5, while of diesel and kerosene by Rs 3. With the adjusted price, petrol per litre costs Rs 162 for first category, while Rs 164 for second category, and Rs 165 for third category.
Similarly, the adjusted price of diesel and kerosene per litre Rs 152 for first category, Rs 158 for second category and Rs 155 for third category, according to NOC.
Charali, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Amlekhgunj, Bhalbari, Nepalgunj, Dhangadhi and Birgunj belong to first category, while Surkhet and Dang in second and Dipayal, Pokhara, and Kathmandu in the third category.
