Gandaki, October 20
A total of 30,732 foreign tourists visited the Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP), specifically the Annapurna Circuit, during the month of Asoj (mid-September to mid-October).
According to ACAP Chief Dr. Rabin Kadariya, nearly 12,000 visitors were from South Asian countries, while over 18,700 came from other parts of the world. The number of tourists began to rise notably from the second week of September, and Dr Kadariya predicts that the figures could continue to grow over the next two months, as this is considered peak tourist season for the Annapurna Circuit.
In addition to foreign visitors, there has also been a rise in domestic tourism during this period. Popular tourist destinations within the Annapurna Circuit include Annapurna Base Camp, Mardi Peak, Ghandruk, Sikles, Khumai Danda, Tilicho Lake, Thorong La Pass, Upper Mustang, Muktinath, and Ghodepani in Myagdi.
