Kathmandu, November 13
Foreign Minister Arzu Rana Deuba is scheduled to depart for Beijing on November 28. According to sources from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, she is travelling at the invitation of her Chinese counterpart, Wang Yi.
Minister Rana’s visit is aimed at preparing for Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s planned visit to China at the end of November. On Tuesday, Rana held a meeting with ministry officials, including the Foreign Secretary, to discuss preparations for the visit.
She had also met with Chinese Ambassador Chen Song on Monday for preliminary discussions at the ministry.
