Kathmandu, November 27
Tickets for the opening match of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) were sold out three days in advance, confirmed CAN spokesperson Chumbi Lama.
The inaugural match, set on December 1 between the Biratnagar Kings and Janakpur Bolts, has seen overwhelming demand. “The TU cricket ground has a total capacity of around 12,000, with 1,200 VIP tickets available. Of these, 800 have been sold, while nearly all regular tickets have been sold out,” Lama stated.
A dedicated Siddhartha Bank Zone has been allocated at the TU ground for the main sponsor. For the first time, CAN introduced a fan zone to enhance the spectator experience, with tickets for the area also included in the sale.
Ticket sales opened at 8 pm on November 25 and were completely sold out within three days.
The NPL, featuring eight teams, is scheduled to kick off on November 30.
