Singhadarbar, Nepal’s central administrative complex where lies almost all ministries of the federal government, is supposed to be the most secure place. However, something quite odd took place here today.
Shree Krishna Shrestha, a driver for the Suspension Bridge Section at the Ministry of Federal Affairs and Local Development, was baffled to find that all four tyres of the Ministry’s Toyata Hilux (Ba 1 Jha 2927) were stolen.
He says he had parked the vehicle at a parking lot of Singhadarbar on Friday evening after taking his boss, Guru Prasad Sharma, home.
Shrestha had informed police after he was unable to pick Sharma for office this morning.
Police and army guard Singhadarbar round the clock. Therefore, it has been suspected that some drivers were involved in the theft.
It is said each tyre costs Rs 50,000 to Rs 60,000.
