Kathmandu, December 2
President Bidhya Devi Bhandari and Speaker Onsari Gharti held discussions on latest political developments on Friday.
During the meeting, Speaker Gharti informed President Bhandari about goings-on in the Parliament.
On the occasion, President Bhandari asked Speaker Gharti to help remove misunderstanding between political parties.
During the meeting, Speaker Gharti said she had held separate talks with top leaders of major political parties in a bid to remove interparty differences, the Speaker’s Secretariat informed.
Speaker Gharti told President Bhandari that parties have expressed commitment to moving ahead by reaching an understanding.
Speaker said during the meeting that she was always ready to help create an enabling environment for consensus, Babin Sharma, Speaker’s press adviser, said.
