Kathmandu, December 1
The student wing of the main opposition CPN-UML, ANNFSU, organised demonstrations in front of different colleges in the Kathmandu Valley against the government-sponsored Constitution Amendment Bill.
These demonstrations, organised from 7.30 am till 10.am on Thursday, caused traffic congestion in different parts of the valley. Traffic Police later said the situation has normalised.
ANNFSU cadres had staged protests outside Amrit Science College, Tri-Chandra College, RR Campus, Saraswati Campus and Pashupati Campus.
Sudesh Parajuli, ANNFSU secretary, said: At the call of ANNFSU Central Committee, demonstrations were held in major campuses throughout the country.
