Kathmandu, February 23
Naya Shakti Nepal and Forum Nepal have demanded that the government postpone the local elections.
In a statement on Thursday, Maya Shakti’s Baburam Bhattarai and Forum Nepal’s Upendra Yadav said the government should focus its attention on getting the constitution amendment bill passed. They have also demanded that the issue of provincial boundaries should be resolved at the earliest.
Both parties demand that civic bodies should work under directions from the province, not from the centre.
