Kathmandu, February 28
Legendary Italian goalkeeper and World Cup winner Gianluigi Buffon is set to arrive in Nepal on Sunday. He will be attending the final of the third edition of the KP Oli Cup, organised by the National Youth Association Nepal, as the chief guest.
Buffon’s arrival was confirmed by the association’s central secretary, Niroj Poudel. The KP Oli Cup final is scheduled to take place on Monday at Dasharath Stadium, where Buffon will serve as the chief guest.
Buffon also sent a video message confirming his attendance at the final. In the video, he greeted fans in Nepali, saying, “Namaste everyone. This is Gigi Buffon. I will be coming as the chief guest for the KP Oli Cup final in early March. See you all there!”
