Kathmandu, December 15
Five Bangladeshi nationals were arrested on the charge of possessing over one kg of gold that was illegal at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu on Tuesday.
Police say they found the five people possessing 1 kg and 311 grams of gold in total in their hand baggage, but they did not have any document to prove the legitimate source of it.
They had landed in Kathmandu on a Himalaya Airlines flight from Dubai of the UAE and were here during their journey to Bangladesh.
The arrestees have been sent to the TIA Customs Office for further investigation and action, informs the TIA Security Office.
