Birgunj, March 6
One man died in a bus hit in the Bara district of southern Nepal on Sunday.
The victim has been identified as Majid Miya (50), a resident of Nijgadh municipality-8 of the district.
The bus (Ko 1 Kha 5700) heading towards Biratnagar from Birgunj hit him at around noon yesterday at Buddha Chok of Nijgadh when the driver was reversing the vehicle.
DSP Purushottam Prasad Pandey, the District Police Office spokesperson, says Miya was seriously injured in the bus hit and was rushed to the nearby City Hospital, which referred him to the Gandak Health Care Hospital, Birgunj. He was declared dead upon arrival.
The investigators have arrested the bus driver Lalan Kumar Das (42), a resident of Sukhipur municipality-8 of the Siraha district.
