Kathmandu, February 12
Traffic police on Friday seized two motorcycles with identical number plates — Ba 2 Ba 1698 — from the Nepali Army’s petrol pump in Bhadrakali. They got hold of the bikes from around 100 vehicles from government offices that were awaiting from early morning for refuelling as it was their designated day to get fuel. During investigation, police sought blue books from the two motorcyclists that were queuing up to refuel the bikes with identical number plates.
It turned out that one bike — Honda Glamour — belonged to the Ministry of Science and Technology, as per the blue book that the motorcyclist showed. The other biker, handling a Yamaha, did not have the blue book. In course of investigation, police learnt that the Yamaha bike was registered in the name of a public health office in Nuwakot.
Police have taken the Yamaha and its driver into custody at Baggikhana for further investigation.
