Two Nepali men have been arrested in possession of fake Indian banknotes in Birgunj city of Parsa district on Thursday.
The District Police Office paraded Dilip Kumar Sah, 34, from Bairiya Birta, Bahudarmai-2 and Jamil Akhtar, 48, from Chhapkaiya, Birgunj-2 amidst a press meet on Friday afternoon.
Police inform that they confiscated 95 fake notes of Rs 2,000 denomination from the suspects. They were arrested at Idagaha Chok, Birgunj-16, while they were going to India on foot.
Speaking at the press meet, chief of the DPO, SP Somendra Singh Rathaur, suspected that an entire racket might have been involved in such cases. “We have been taking the investigation ahead accordingly,” he added.
