Kathmandu, November 10
Two persons died when a scooter collided with a truck at Basundhara of Kathmandu metropolitan city on Wednesday afternoon.
The victims have been identified as Bel Bahadur Rana Magar (47) and Kalpana Rana Magar (41), both residents of the Kaski district.
Seriously injured in the accident some 50 metres away from the local Narayan Gopal Chok, they were rushed to the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital for treatment, but doctors there declared him dead.
They were riding on the scooter (Bagmati Province 02-032-Pa 2227) that was hit by the truck (Na 8 Kha 1841).
Police have arrested the truck driver for further investigation.
