Kathmandu, December 27
Rastriya Janata Party Nepal presidium member Rajendra Mahato says his party can think of joining the new government if the CPN-UML, which is most likely to lead the new Cabinet, is positive about constitution amendment.
The leader, therefore, says the UML should make its opinion about the amendment public before inviting any party to join the government.
Mahato, however, maintains that the government is not his party’s priority.
“The Madheshi party will not be used as a tool for government formation,” he said while speaking with journalists at an interaction today, “We will put forth our agenda and decide how much we can cooperate on the basis of how much they agree with us.”
Meanwhile, Mahato said his party could merge with Upendra Yadav-led Federal Socialist Forum-Nepal.
“We will unify the parties on the day we have agreements,” Mahato said adding his party and Forum would partner for the provincial government in Province 2.
