Kathmandu, December 23
The government of Nepal is deporting notorious serial killer Charles Sobhraj, who has just been released after completing a 20-year sentence in Kathmandu, to his country, France, on Friday itself.
A source says he will first fly to Doha and then to Paris on Qatar Airways tonight. The Kathmandu-Doha flight will take off the Kathmandu airport at 6 pm.
He has been taken to the Department of Immigration on Friday to initiate the deportation process.
Once sent back to his homeland, the serial killer will be barred from entering the country forever, according to government officials.
As per the Supreme Court order on Wednesday, Charles Sobhraj needs to be sent back to his country in the next 15 days.
Sobhraj, however, wants to spend some more time in Kathmandu and undergo medical treatment for his heart problems here itself, according to the sources close to him.
