Kathmandu, July 7
The National Examination Board (NEB) has announced that students can correct their name, surname, and date of birth in the Secondary Education Examination certificate (SEE certificate) within the next six months after receiving it.
According to NEB’s Chairperson Mahashram Sharma, changes to names, ages, and surnames can be made in accordance with the Correction of Name, Age, and Surname Correction Rules of 1960.
According to it, students with errors on their SEE certificate must submit an application to the Chief District Officer (CDO) within six months.
Based on the received application, the CDO will make a decision and recommendation, and the board will only verify the name, surname, and date of birth based on that as per Sharma.
If there is a delay of six months or more, the rules state that the CDO’s decision and recommendation will not be considered.
SEE results were out on Thursday.
