Bhairahawa, November 16
CPN-Maoist Centre Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal says the railway service connecting China and Lumbini will begin within next few years.
Dahal says he had begun discussions over establishing a railway from Lhasa to Lumbini during his first premiership, claiming the discussions have reached a conclusion now and the dream will be realised within next few years.
Inaugurating an industrial fare in Bhairahawa of Rupandehi district today, the leader said he had a deep connection with Lumbini owing to Nepal’s successful peace process and hence he would prioritise Lumbini’s development.
He said Nepal should be able to take advantages from its proximity with India and China.
On the occasion, he said leftist parties formed an alliance to establish political stability in the country and lead it towards development and prosperity.
He reiterated that the alliance was not against anyone.
The alliance’s candidate for Rupandehi-3 and CPN-UML Deputy General Secretary Ghanashyam Bhusal also spoke at the function.
