Kathmandu, October 26
The democratic alliance led by Nepali Congress is preparing to finalise the distribution of provincial and federal parliamentary constituencies among its constituents for the second phase of elections scheduled for December 7 today.
Congress President and Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has called a meeting of representatives of the alliance constituents at 11 am at his official residence in today.
Rastriya Prajatantra Party, Rastriya Prajatantra Party-Democratic, Federal Socialist Forum-Nepal and Rastriya Janata Party Nepal will attend the meeting.
The allocation of constituencies has been trickier as the Madhesh-centric FSF-N and RJPN have demanded more than 50 constituencies in the Terai region.
The Congress is planning to select its candidates only after finalising the distribution in the alliance.
The parties and candidates have to file their candidacy for the December 7 polls on November 2.
