Kathmandu, July 20
The Department of Revenue Investigation has continued its special operation with the suspicion that there is an additional 100 kilograms of gold in the Tribhuvan International Airport Customs Office.
This was after the department confiscated 100 kilograms of gold released by the customs office on Wednesday. It says there is suspicion that there is more gold at the customs office brought into Nepal in a similar manner.
Nawa Raj Dhungana, the director general of the Department of Revenue Investigation personally arrived at the airport premises to conduct a special operation.
The department had searched the homes of all arrested individuals.
Six people have been arrested so far. The Department of Customs is investigating the case separately as well.
