Kathmandu, July 6
The government announced a public holiday across the country on the occasion of Eid al-Adha on Sunday (July 10).
While the government’s annual public holiday calendar had stipulated a public holiday for the festival, the date was not decided. But, the Muslim Commission recommended the leave on Sunday, informs the Ministry of Home Affairs in a notice on Wednesday.
This is one of the greatest festivals for Muslims across the world.
Of late, the government has been providing public holidays for the festivals of various religions and ethnic groups.
