Tikapur, April 24
A fire started from Bajura Hotel in Tikapur Bazaar, Kailali district, on Sunday afternoon, and quickly spread to the neighbourhood, destroying the hotel, another Bajgain Hotel and grocery, police informed.
Santosh Sekuwa, a restaurant, New Vision Cottage and New Kamal Box Industry suffered minor damage in the fire, according to police. The fire, according to preliminary police estimates, has caused a damage of nine lakh rupees.
It’s unclear as to what started the blaze. Local people, security personnel and employees from Tikapur municipality put out the fire.
