Kathmandu, August 7
Five people have died in an Air Dynasty helicopter crash in Shivpuri Rural Municipality, Nuwakot.
According to DIG Bishnu Kumar KC, head of the Bagmati Province Police Office, the bodies of the five individuals, including the captain, have been recovered.
Apart from the pilot Arun Mall, the other four individuals were Chinese nationals.
According to a press statement released by Tribhuvan International Airport Civil Aviation Office, the helicopter lost contact with the tower three minutes after taking off from Kathmandu.
It was confirmed to have crashed at a location called Surya Chaur in Ward No. 7 of Shivpuri Rural Municipality, Kathmandu District.
The statement added, “As soon as the news of the accident was received, a rescue team from Prabhu Helicopter has already departed for the crash site.”
