Biratnagar, January 6
Federal Socialist Forum President Upendra Yadav has accused the main opposition CPN-UML of pushing the country towards a conflict in the name of showing its strength. He was referring to the Capital-centric protest that nine opposition parties, including the UML, are organising against the Constitution Amendment Bill.
Talking to journalists in Biratnagar on Friday, Yadav, who is also coordinator of the Federal Alliance, said the show of strength will not end the persisting political deadlock.
Yadav said it will be unacceptable if the government conducts elections without Constitution amendment. He said: We will go for elections only when the rights of Madheshi people are guaranteed through Constitution amendment.
