The former chief judge of the then Pokhara Appellate Court, Madhav Prasad Chalise, has died of Covid-19. He was 70.
Chalise was suffering from heart ailments also. He breathed his last while undergoing treatment at Sahid Gangalal National Heart Centre, informs the family.
While undergoing treatment, he was found infected with the coronavirus a few days ago.
A permanent resident of Maharajgunj, Kathmandumetropolitan city-3, Chalise had retired from the judicial service in July 2013.
