Nepalgunj, June 19
The election alliance formed between the Federal Socialist Forum-Nepal and the Naya Shakti Party Nepal at the central level did not work in Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolitan City of Banke district as two parties filed nominations separately for the position of mayor.
The FSF-N has fielded Kamarudding Rai and Shobha Lakher for the positions of mayor and deputy mayor respectively.
Likewise, the Naya Shakti’s Jagat Kumari Khadka is also contesting for the top position.
Both Rai and Khadka have laid claim over the common election symbol of torch.
Meanwhile, within the FSF-N, Mamata Baniya has fielded her candidacy for the position of deputy mayor.
