Gorkha, February 10
Nepali Congress leader Gagan Thapa says Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli could not effectively handle the controversies surfaced after Oli’s Nepal Communist Party issued a statement over the recent political crisis in Venezuela, blaming the United States.
Recently, Oli had commented that his party’s another chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal made a mistake by issuing the statement blaming the US in haste.
However, Thapa says blaming Dahal is not enough to solve the issue.
Speaking with journalists in Gorkha district headquarters today, Thapa said blaming Dahal was an unsuccessful and irresponsible attempt of Oli to cover shortcomings of the government.
He accused the government of committing mistakes one after another.
On the occasion, Thapa also criticised his own party for failing to change its leadership style and embrace changes.
