Gandaki, May 5
Chief Minister of Gandaki Province, Khagaraj Adhikari, is seeking a vote of confidence today. According to the Gandaki Province Assembly (PA) Secretariat, the Chief Minister is scheduled to seek a vote of confidence at 3 pm today.
He was elected to the post on April 7 in support of the CPN (UML), CPN (Maoist Centre), and one independent PA member.
As per the Constitution, the Chief Minister is mandated to obtain a vote of confidence from the PA no later than 30 days after the date of the appointment.
