Kathmandu, March 13
Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has supported the government’s decision to put a ban on Netra Bikram Chand ‘Biplav’-led party. He added that the government should now take action against the splinter group according to the law.
The government on Tuesday had put a ban on Chand-led party calling them a terrorist group.
Talking to media personnel at Biratnagar airport, Deuba said that the decision to put a ban on Biplav-led party was appropriate and necessary.
“Biplav and his party have been involved in a lot of terrorist activities. They have attacked some of our party members as well. I support the ban but they should be prosecuted according to the law,” Deuba said.
He added that the government should take strict actions against such terror groups.
