Gulmi, March 4
Police in the Gulmi district of Lumbini have arrested a man in connection with a mysterious murder case in Bhadgaun, Resunga municipality-3 of the district.
A 21-year-old woman, Samjhana Bohora, was missing since February 11, but she was found dead after 18 days on March 1 near her house. Three days after that, the investigators arrested a local man for his alleged involvement in the case
The suspect has been identified as Lal Bahadur Khatri, 47. DSP Purushottam Prasad Pandey suspects Khatri might have killed her on February 11 itself claiming his preliminary investigation support that hypothesis. However, the police are clueless about the motive so far.
The District Court remanded him in custody for the next seven days for further investigation.
