Kathmandu, February 13

Patan High Court has issued an interim order asking the government not to obstruct the operation of Hotel Anand, a hotel operated by Batas Group at a property owned by Pashupati Area Development Trust.

The order comes after the Batas Group filed a writ petition against the Pashupati Area Development Trust. The court has ruled in favour of the conglomerate and has given the trust 15 days to answer why the trust had obstructed the operation of the hotel.

The court has also asked both parties to come to the Patan High Court on February 21 for discussion.

An investigation committee formed by the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation had told the government to terminate an agreement signed between the Pashupati Area Development Trust and the Batas Organization.
