Kathmandu, November 26
Despite unfavourable weather condition in high mountainous region and terror of minor explosions in the run-up to elections, voter turnout seems exciting at most voting centres in 32 districts of the country which are holding the polls for federal House of Representatives and provincial assemblies.

Voting has begun at 7 am today and voters are casting their ballots peacefully at most of the centres, says Election Commission. Some minor incidents of sporadic violence, however, have been reported from various districts.

An improvised exclusive device went off at a distance of 30 metres from the voting centre in Chyandanda, Sakela-1 of Khotang. But, the incident did not cause any damage, according to journalist Tenish Roka.

The Rolpa District Election Office has reported similar incidents from Korwachang, Thawang and Sukidaha. Voters, however, are unaffected and the turnout is excising, says the Office.
