Kathmandu, November 4
Indian President Pranab Mukherjee, who is on a three-day state visit to Nepal, has been feted at a civic reception organised in the historic city of Janakpur.
The function was organised by Janakpur municipality. It saw local leaders and people from different walks of life gather at the venue to accord a warm welcome to Mukherjee.
Mukherjee, who was in Janakpur on Friday afternoon, also prayed at the Janaki Temple.
The principal priest (Mahanta) of the temple., Ram Tapeshwar welcomed Mukherjee in accordance with Maithil culture. Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Bimalendra Nidhi received the President upon his arrival at the Janakpur airport.
