Kathmandu, August 15
Israel has agreed to take an additional 1,000 Nepali workers besides the previously agreed number.
During a meeting between Labour and Employment Minister Sher Bahadur Kunwar and Israeli Ambassador to Nepal, Hanan Goder Goldberger, on Monday afternoon, Israel agreed to increase the numbers. They will be employed in agricultural work.
Besides, 1,147 Nepali workers have been selected to work in Israel according to an agreement between the two countries.
In another context, Minister Kunwar asked Israel to invest in a reintegration programme designed for returning migrant workers.
Other issues of bilateral concerns were discussed during the meeting.
