Police have arrested a man in Arjundhara municipality of the Jhapa district in eastern Nepal on the charge of murdering his wife.
Bishwaraj Ghising, a resident of Arjundhara, killed his 36-year-old wife Pramila Bhujel Ghising over a domestic quarrel last night, according to DSP Rugam Bahadur Kunwar of the Anarmani Area Police Office.
Following the quarrel, the man reportedly hit his wife with a stick on her stomach and chest and she died on the spot.
He was arrested the same night on the charge of murdering his wife, police say.
A permanent resident of Arun rural municipality-1 of Bhojpur, Bishwaraj was currently living and working as a daily wage labourer in Arjundhara for the past two years.
