Dhangadhi, February 23
Locals in Godawari of the Kailali district of Sudurpaschim obstructed the East-West Highway for several hours on Thursday after a pedestrian died in a microbus hit incident.
Hundreds of vehicles got stuck halfway due to the obstruction.
Inspector Birendra Johari, the chief of the District Traffic Police Office, says Geruwa Chaudhary (29), a resident of Gauriganga municipality-6 of the district, died after being hit by the microbes (Ba 5 Kha 4032) heading westerns.
Police have arrested the microbes driver Naveen Singh (29), a resident of Kohalpur in the Banke district, for further investigation and action.
