Kathmandu, April 23
Senior journalist and Sajha Yatayat Chairman Kanakmani Dixit has been admitted to Bir Hospital’s ICU for treatment of his chest and heart conditions. The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority had taken Dixit into custody from a cafe in Patan Dhoka on Friday, accusing him of ‘amassing property through illegal means’.
Dixit, who has hypertension, was rushed to the hospital on Saturday morning after his health condition deteriorated. Security personnel and hospital officials allowed his wife, Shanta Dixit, to meet him at the ICU.
