Kathmandu, April 21
The death toll in an explosion in Lalitpur on Thursday morning has reached two, with an injured succumbing.
Other injured, however, have been discharged following the needful treatment.
The worker who died on the spot has been identified as Brij Mahato (45), a resident of West Champaran, India. Likewise, the second deceased is Raj Kumar Mahato (25), who is also from India, according to SP Siddhi Bikram Shah.

Lalitpur oxygen plant explosion: 1 killed, 7 hurt
Kathmandu, April 21
One person died and seven others have sustained injuries in an explosion at an oxygen plant in Lalitpur on Thursday morning. One of the injured is said to be critical.
SP Siddha Bikram Shah of the Lalitpur Metropolitan Police Range informs the explosion occurred at the Sagarmatha Oxygen Plant inside the Patan industrial estate while workers were filling in the gas in a cylinder.
Currently, the police are rescuing the other workers.
Lalitpur Chief District Officer Ghana Shyam Upadhyaya informs the blast seems quite powerful as parts of the victim’s bodies were found as far away as 300 metres.
Whereas the zinc roof of the oxygen plant has been destroyed, windows of adjacent buildings have been broken.
