The Madhesh provincial government has given a public holiday on the occasion of the Chhath festival on Monday also.
While the federal government has given the holiday on the occasion of the festival on Sunday, the province’s Chief Minister Lalbabu Raut in his festive greetings says there will be a public holiday in the province on Monday also.
Apparently, the festival is celebrated with greater fervour in the province although it has recently spread across the country including the Kathmandu valley.
