Kathmandu, November 11
A man has been arrested on the charge of raping a seven-year-old girl in Gothatar of Kathmandu.
On Tuesday, the Metropolitan Police Sector in Kandaghari received a companied about the incident. Immediately, the office deployed a team to arrest 52-year-old Chakre Tamang, a permanent resident of Dhading, according to police.
DSP Daksha Kumar Basnet says the alleged victim has been sent to the Paropakar Maternity and Women’s Hospital for a medical test, and her test report is awaited.
Tamang has been accused of enticing the girl into coming to his apartment for the crime.
The alleged victim’s family is preparing to file an FIR against Tamang today.
Further investigation is underway.
