Jaleshwor, January 9

Two persons died in a motorbike accident on the Jaleshwor-Bardibas road section in Mahottari on Monday night.

Those killed in the accident are Mukesh Chamar, 30, from Thalahi Birta of Ramgopalpur Municipality and Dharmendra Mahato, 32, from Bhangaha Municipality-3, according to DSP Dilip Kumar Giri.

Two pillion riders were injured in the accident. They are Shree Ram Gosai, 32, from Bhangaha-5, and Pradip Kumar Yadav, 36, from Bardibas Municipality. They are currently undergoing treatment at Shuva Swastik Hospital in Bardibas.

Both motorbikes, despite being rushed to the hospital after the accident, succumbed to their injuries during treatment. The police reported that the vehicles involved were travelling at high speeds, and the thick fog, causing low visibility, also played a significant role in the accident, according to authorities.
