A woman has died in a rhino attack in Devchuli in Nawalpur (East Nawalparasi).
Darima Thapa Magar in his early 60s, a resident of Prithvinagar, Devchuli municipality-10 was attacked by a rhino on Wednesday afternoon at the Maharaja community forest in Devchuli.
Devchuli borders the Chitwan National Park, the biggest natural habitat of one-horned rhinoceros in Nepal.
She had reportedly gone to collect green fodders for her cattle when the incident took place at around 2:00 pm.
Ward chair Repti Kumar Gharti Magar says Thapa was seriously injured in the rhino attack and died during treatment at the Chitwan Medical College Hospital.
