Kathmandu, August 30
The government-run electricity distribution monopoly, Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA), has launched a drive to open 51 charging stations across Nepal.
The first of the stations at its headquarters in Kathmandu opened on Tuesday. Energy Minister Pampha Bhusal and NEA Managing Director Kul Man Ghising inaugurated the station.
The authority says preparations have reached the final steps in terms of physical infrastructure development at other places also.
In Kathmandu, new charging stations will be established at the Tribhuvan International Airport, Halchok, Pulchok and Balkhu.
Likewise, outside the valley, the following places will boast the stations:

- Damak
- Biratnagar
- Itahari
- Belaka
- Sunsari
- Lahan
- Bardibas
- Sindhulimadi
- Khurkot
- Banepa
- Pathalaiya
- Hetaunda
- Chitwan
- Muglin
- Dharke
- Pokhara
- Bardaghat
- Butwal
- Bhairahawa
- Chandrauta
- Lamahi
- Kohalpur
- Lamki
- Attariya
- Mahendranagar
- Surkhet
