Kathmandu, November 2
The Ministry of Health and Population has informed that the country’s Covid-19 tally has reached 176,500 as of Monday afternoon.
The ministry says 2,933 new cases were confirmed in the country in the past 24 hours.
Of the new cases, 1,630 are from the Kathmandu valley.
In this period, 13,446 swab samples were tested. So far, 1 million and 469,812 people have been tested in the country.
As of today, 37,524 cases are active currently. Among them, 30,924 are in home isolation.
Likewise, 347 are in intensive care units and 74 on ventilators.
Of the total cases so far, 137,992 people have achieved recovery whereas 984 died, according to the ministry. In the past 24 hours, 3,150 people have been discharged whereas 24 deaths have been reported. Nepal’s current recovery rate is around 78.2 per cent.
Of 77 districts of Nepal, Jhapa, Morang, Sunsari, Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Lalitpur, Chitwan, Makawanpur, Kavre, Kaski, Nawalparasi, Dang, Rupandehi, and Kailali have more than 500 active cases each. Mustang, Manang and Bajura do not have any active case.
Over 2,100 people are quarantined across the country.
