The government of Nepal has decided to impose complete ‘lockdown’ in the country after it confirmed the second coronavirus case on Monday.
Accordingly, it has barred citizens from leaving their houses from 6 am on Tuesday morning. It will be effective for one week.
Likewise, all vehicles except those carrying foodstuffs and other essential goods will not operate.
A meeting of the high-level committee on coronavirus control, led by Deputy Prime Minister Ishwar Pokharel, made the decision on Monday evening.
