Nepal made a successful start in the CAVA Women’s Volleyball Nations League by defeating Sri Lanka in straight sets, with scores of 25-19, 25-18, and 25-19.
In the first set, Nepal dominated with a one-sided win. Sri Lanka managed to take a 4-2 lead in the second set, but they could not hold onto it. Nepal made some errors but capitalised on Sri Lanka’s weaknesses in reception and blocking to secure a comfortable victory.
The third set saw Nepal trailing 7-3, prompting a timeout. Following the break, Nepal made a strong comeback, levelling the score at 15-15 before taking the lead and clinching the win.
This victory marks a promising beginning for Nepal in the tournament, showcasing their potential and determination to excel.
